Eklavya College is committed to promoting equality, social justice, and dignity for all members of the academic community. In accordance with the Scheduled Castes and the Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, 1989, and guidelines issued by the UGC and the Government of India, the college has established an SC/ST Atrocity Prevention Cell to address grievances and prevent any form of discrimination or harassment against members of the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes.

Objectives of the Cell

  • To create awareness among students and staff about the constitutional rights and legal protections of SC/ST communities.
  • To prevent any kind of discrimination, harassment, or atrocity—whether verbal, physical, social, or institutional—against SC/ST individuals on campus.
  • To receive and redress complaints of caste-based discrimination in a timely, fair, and confidential manner.
  • To promote an inclusive, respectful, and egalitarian academic environment.

Functions of the Cell

  • To sensitise the campus community through workshops, legal awareness programmes, and training sessions.
  • To coordinate with statutory bodies and ensure effective implementation of the SC/ST Act.
  • To assist affected students or staff in filing complaints and accessing legal remedies.
  • To recommend disciplinary action or institutional reforms wherever necessary.
